All these choices... Here’s a quick description of each modality to help you choose which class to take. If you have the time, try them all and compare for yourself!

Most introspective: Authentic Movement offers self-exploration through movement, integrating the psyche and the body. Drawing from Jungian Psychology and Dance Therapy, it explores the experiences of seeing and being seen.
Sexiest: Bellydancing is a composite dance of circles and figure eights, pelvic motion, rhythmic step patterns, isolated muscle control, and codified gestures coupled with costuming that rattles, jingles and shakes.
Most functional: The Feldenkrais Method® uses gentle, intentional movement to improve function, reduce pain and enhance quality of life.  It is one of the nine disciplines in Nia and an excellent complement to yoga. For more, check out www.feldenkrais.com
Most fun: Nia® is transformational exercise. This movement blends barefoot dance with elements from the martial and healing arts. Try this for a creative cardiovascular workout for all levels. For more info, visit www.nia-nia.com
Buffest: Pilates is an exercise method based on the work of Joseph Pilates. Its focus is on strengthening the “powerhouse” (abs and buttocks) to execute the exercises, which are designed to increase flexibility, strengthen muscles and improve posture. The method involves concentration and the coordination of breath and movement, helping to balance mind and body. Pilates can be taught with or without its elaborate equipment. Newest: Soto is a 3D spiraling technique focused on giving you a shapely limber body, elongated muscles, improved posture, and balanced physical strength. This no-impact exercise targets the deepest muscles of the pelvic floor and core.  Derived from Callanetics, Pilates, yoga and developed by Atlanta’s own Sandy Bramlett.
Most ancient: Tai chi is a set of smooth, flowing exercises used to improve or maintain health, create a sense of relaxation, and keep qi (life force) flowing. Developed from a fighting martial art at least 6000 years ago, tai chi is now the pathway to tranquility.
Most popular: Meaning union with the divine, yoga is an ancient philosophy and discipline applied to the development of mind, body, and spirit. There are many disciplines of yoga emphasizing different aspects or combination of mind body spirit. Through practices of holding a variety of body positions or asanas, and the centering of the mind and breath in a meditative way, the practitioner increases body awareness, posture, flexibility of body and mind and calmness of spirit.
