Change the course of History
We Are the Ones We’ve Been Waiting For!

Let’s
Change the Course of History by Visualizing Our Highest Choice
for the 2004 Election!
As I write this article, I look out at an early morning view of
the lovely, lush cove that I live in. The sky is brilliant blue,
the sun’s rays golden as they pass over the mountain. The
wind gusts fresh and fast and crisp, hinting at early Spring.
Concurrently, I feel a profound sense of unease and urgency which
grows daily. As I write, the Earth and her atmosphere continue
to be usurped from Earthkind in the name of economic gain. This
will not stand with me. Nor should it stand for any human on this
planet who has the right to be part of a sustainable, life-promoting
and ever green world. To bury our heads in the sand now for the
sake of remaining “comfortable and safe” is to be
complicit in the crime.
This is the bad news and this is the good news. I believe we are
the ones we’ve been waiting for!
This election year represents a point in history where all people
of Spirit and Conscience get to unite and together choose to change
the course of our shared future on Earth. there is no other option,
given the current path of destruction we are headed on. Using
the amazing powers we each have at our command—the power
to vote and the power to visualize, we can manifest our highest
choice for a conscious, spirit-based government by the people,
for the people. As Americans will help turn the tide of history.
Imagine it is 2005. By focusing on, visualizing and uniting in
electing our highest choice for President, we’ve sworn in
a courageous, spiritual, principled and visionary statesman into
the Presidential Office who will pull us out of the war in Iraq.
This President is dedicated to actively building a sustainable
future for ourselves and our children. Imagine the collective
sigh of relief that we in America, those in the global community,
and the Earth itself, all breathe as the focus shifts from war
making to peacemaking, from certain environmental destruction
to life-supporting sustainability.
How do we bring this down to earth now? The current popular but
very dangerous voting strategy of most Americans who fervently
desire a change from the current Presidential administration is
the "Anyone-But-Bush" strategy. Instead of focusing
on the negative, I propose something entirely different. Try reframing
your highest choice in the positive. Who is it that I do want?
Who among the candidates most strongly stands for a viable future
on this planet? Who possesses the practical vision of a sustainable
future for America and for America’s participation in a
peace-based global community?
On April 17th, North Carolina residents will have a chance to
stand up for what you believe in and not compromise. During the
State Primaries and the Caucuses, vote with your heart and conscience
and for what you really want.
